funny story anon, when I was writing ga-ming's fake voicelines and needed to give him more characters to talk about, I was considering adding a hu tao voiceline, but decided against it because I didn't really see a reason for them to meet (besides via friends (new liyue 6ang addition?!?!?!)). lowkey I now feel validated bc they don't have any in-game voicelines abt each other, but this would be a very boring ask if it just stopped here lol.

there's something to be said about gaming and hu tao's family baggage vs their cheerful external demeanor vs both doing a job that isn't super well received (?) by people in liyue harbor. but hu tao leans into her eccentricities a lot more while gaming is on the 'likeable by everyone' grind LOL also the dad similarities might increase if we ever get 76th funeral parlor director lore: hu tao's parents have been conspicuously missing forever, where did genshin put them? an interesting possibility would be if the 76th somehow split off from the family trade and subsequently got wiped from the family tree bc of ideological diffs (like ht's beef with baizhu), which could increase gaming and hu tao's possible shared father(?) troubles. but besides that I feel like there's not too much similarity there. They're both enthusiastic outward facing individuals, but idk if they'd have an interesting dynamic if they met.*

Although, you know that voiceline where hu tao does a magic trick and makes a butterfly of fire? and also how she plays with those lion statues outside the ministry of civil affairs? those two things would be straight up gamings alley ngl like he'd be so down for that kind of whimsy and playfulness. also hu tao would be a good candidate for a 2nd lion dance partner. she'd be completely down for doing odd jobs and this is absolutely a fun odd job, at least until she gets tired of it or has to focus on official business lol. idt she's the type to work hard at it; she's just there to try it out because it looked cool but gaming appreciates the enthusiasm regardless. would request to be the lions head in order to lunge at people and also pick greens. also there's potential for a gaming yun jin xingqiu hu tao tea appreciation club

oh also i think smth underrated abt hu tao is how shes like cheery and eccentric but takes her job seriously and has unidentifiable but occasionally present baggage .... which i already mentioned before is similar to how 75% of gm's voicelines are cheery, and then the other 25% is emotional conflict. idk! maybe under the right conditions, they could open up to each other and sympathize

*addendum: imo, hu tao has mostly moved on from her grief over her grandfather's death, and she doesn't have any regrets about the state of their relationship when he passed away, since they were pretty close and never on bad terms. My personal hc is that she still has some things she wished she said, ie. sincere thoughts and feelings from the heart that she usually avoids talking about (she would say "nice speech, but that kind of killed the mood" if someone made one of those anime protag power of friendship monologues). in my head, her grandpa taught her everything about death and funeral customs, played with her/listened to her poetry, pretended to go along w her pranks, and was in general a very loving person, but I don't think hu tao ever explicitly told him "I love you" before he died. she canonically tried to find him right after he passed away but knew that he wouldn't be there. by now i think she's made peace with his death, but still has a certain wistfulness about things she didn't think of saying. and then on the flip side, if ga-ming could see his mom again, he'd probably spend a whole day talking to her i think. he's also not someone to get drunk on grief or regrets, but i don't think he's quite gotten over it completely, and his rocky relationship with his father (before lantern rite 2024) makes this more emotional idk. not sure where I'm going with this, but maybe hu tao would be able to talk him through a bit of this messiness and urge him to simply continue with his own life. or show him that his mother was not at the border, perhaps never lingered there, because she didnt think there was any unfinished business with him or his father that she needed to worry about. the annoying thing about death is that even if the dead person was free of regrets, those who are still living will still miss them. maybe both gaming and hu tao would be able to understand that and/or sympathize with it. or maybe they'd just be silly together who knows, up to you

I've been homeless for 4 years now. no problem there per se. but without the duties of school and work, im left to decide for myself. Im (thankfully) not american so working while being in school was not so common, but i never got a cent in allowance so it was worth it at first.

they say to properly heal from burnout you need way longer than what time you have. im still trying to stop faking it and start making it. being a 19yo burnout is all fine and edgy until youre 22 unemployed homeless and without any degree and you still feel like doing two (2) tasks a day is a lot. i feel like i got the perfect depression-adhd cocktail where if i dont do what i want all day every day i might start killing ppl, but if i do i might as well be a rotting log in the forest

i have the chance to get top surgery but i feel my depression making me fumble it. "who cares what you look like. without your tits youre just fat. no point in changing anything" I also know for a fact that it wont make me less depressed but it makes me anxious to think that, if i let it pass, ill have to jump through the hoops again to get where i am now.

im just in so much pain every day from walking, sometimes just sitting. when i lay down, its my shoulders. probably something to do with joints. i also got scabies from some irresponsible guests, so i havent touched skin in over a month now and i feel my grip on my feelings slipping. not being allowed to touch my partner is putting a strain in our relationship and general wellbeing. as a countermeasure, I also have to be very careful about textiles, wich sucks because most of my hobbies revolve around fabric.

ok so...incoming thought...i was thinking abt how @forgottenpercy has been dealing w fellow servants falling ill at the citadel and...it occured to me...ok so @forgottenroderick's father and brother died to a spring illness which we later said was a plague that spread into astaira as well, so astaira ~also has a known history of this, ~and its smth that roderick will def take v srsly!!

and im kinda thinking...what if the resistance starts faking a plague that's growing worse and worse in order to install their own agents in places...and get ppl who need to get out of various spots out etc (carried out as a corpse on plague liters etc) obv this wont help high profile peeps such as the staffords or callearies etc but it could def help them smuggle wanted peasants various alternate places, as well as officially marking them deceased so ppl're no longer looking for them etc

this probs won't help someone like ronan, bc you need witnesses to the 'death's etc and ronan is officially missing and so forth but yeah!!

And I might be wrong in this one, cause im no expert nor have experience w guns/getting shot or similar but I think Chuuya was using his ability on the gun/bullets, because I dont think normal bullets would leave a crater that big in a place like Mersmault. (I will never know how to write it-)

I think it goes by way too fast for his ability to activate.

Like, we've seen for example in s1 when Akutagawa uses Rashomon on Dazai during the Dungeon scene, Rashomon actually touches him but then gets nullified.

But it's because the ability was still touching him, the bullet, instead, went through him and hit the wall.

But then, what about the bullet that went through his forehead?

Again, no expert lol, but from what I know, a bullet through the forehead is instant death, but Dazai can still talk just a few panels after.

What I think is that he isn't dead yet, but could soon die if not treated soon, afterall, not only he has multiple gunshots, but also has multiple broken bones from his fall in the elevator.

I think Chuuya had some kind of self control and when he pointed at Dazai at point blank range, instead of shifting the gravity of the bullet for it to go faster/stronger (?) , since he was close to Dazai already, I think he made it go at a speed that wouldn't be deadly but still look like he didn't use his ability. (?)

Something similar to what happened in the first light novel.

I haven't actually finished reading Dazai's entrance exam (still at pg 87 ;_;) , but I decided to check a part of it I haven't read yet.

The part were Kunikida shoots Dazai.

I think the context was that Dazai made it look like he was the Azure King and it led to Kunikida shooting him at point blank range, but with the gun he created with his ability.

Kunikida had 2 guns. The one given by the agency and the one he made with his ability.

And he used the later.

After a few moments, when Kunikida learns Dazai was just faking being dead, he asks about the situation and a bit I'm interested on was this

I take the pistol I shot earlier and toss it at Dazai. He catches it, and almost instantly, it transforms back into a piece of notebook paper in his hand. (Pg. 129)

"Almost instantly".

The bullet did hit Dazai, but since this one goes at a normal speed/force, No Longer Human can act on it and nullify the bullet while at the same time having time to make it look real.

Something similar happens in chapter 109. Except Chuuya can alter the speed/force.

If Chuuya had shot the same way he did to Dazai's shoulder, the bullet would've perfored right through his skull and hit the wall like the others. But instead Dazai has the bullet on his forehead.

It wasn't fast enough like the others to not let time NLH to activate.

Okay so! (As I write this, I'm watching ranboo play it for the 100th time-)

WRoEF is a story-type game!

I'll add a read more because this might be long - (as I have an obsession with it.)

Also possible TW: Death (both child death and death in general-)

You play as a 17 year old girl named Edith (I wanna change my name to Edith irl✨) who's returning to her childhood home after inheriting it from her late mother, Dawn Finch. Edith, who's trying to find out more about her family, ends up finding out that there's these "Secret passageways" in the house and the doors are sealed shut (forgot to mention that and I'm sorry-)

Anyways. She opens one of the secret passageways and goes through it and ends up in one of the sealed up rooms: Molly's room, who was technically the second Finch to die but the first person we sorta lean about?

In Molly's story, you play as her (Molly) on the night of her death. She was sent to be without dinner and when asking her mom:

"Mom, can I come out now?" (Molly)

"Sweetheart, it's late. Go to sleep." (her mom/Edith Sr)

So what happened? Well Molly goes around her room looking for something to eat and what does she eat?: toothpaste, Some fake hollyberries (idk if i spelled that right-) and a dried carrot next to some gerbil shit. (Literally-) Next thing we know, she finds a barn sallow outside her window! Now, I think this next part is a dream- she opens the window and goes to jump at the bird (keep in mind there's a lil chain to keep the window from opening enough for her to go through it) and suddenly, SHE'S A DAMN CAT.

Long story short for Molly, she then became a fuckin owl, a shark then a fuckin octopus or smth that has tentacles ;-; she then wakes up and writes the last thing we/Edith reads in her journal

"And we both know,"

"I.."

"Will.."

"Be...delicious."

Or smth like that

Anyway, I won't say all the deaths but pretty much, whole family ded

Now there's one death in the game that impacted me (and some other ppl) pretty hard:

Gregory's death.

For him, you play as a one year old baby in a tub. You have some toys, and which you control a wind-up toy frog. After a while, the mother (Kay) attempts to get Gregory outta the tub but gets interrupted by her ex-husband, Sam Finch. She talks with him and you continue to play as Gregory.

For the final time, Kay drains the bathtub right as Sam Calls again. Somehow, Gregory turns the damn tub thingy (forgot what it's called) back on and the tub fills up with water, drowning the baby

Now I suggest watching a playthrough of it :3

Me personally, would 100% recommend watching Ranboo play it (it's funny to me-)

i remember last night i thought. what if i just restart my life? only tell umbrella, fake my death, and move away to some new state. just get away from this goddamn place, get a new family, start fresh. basically kill myself but only here in this town. and also get a new # and cut everyone else off. maybe, this is more in my grasp, but i actually tell my parents i need a week or two away from them and everyone, and maybe i can have bubble take me in for a bit. they may be more willing, since in the past theyve helped w school mornings bc both parents had work early, so they just dropped me n my sis off at bubble's and they helped us get completely ready and drive us to school. maybe they can help…that's what i thought at least. so bubble said she couldnt bc her parents r already having a little trouble taking care of her and her siblings, so then i asked another friend (for future ref ima call herr ummmmm bead. like a bracelet bead) and she said not a week, her mom couldnt do that, BUT for a night or 2. we agreed for 2 nights in abt a week and we're both gonna talk to our moms abt it. and i asked umbrella as the last resort for the remaining week or so, since she seems like a safe option. "At most, my mom would say two or three nights but it def prob wont be a week. Bc my mom is also not doing the best with money. okay so one thing you need to know abt me is that i’m a fake fan and also i can’t read

i started my dc dive back in september, but there was a several month period where i stopped reading comics or getting into new material (cue rewatching flashpoint paradox on repeat), so i’m just as much as a novice as the next guy. but i can recommend my favorite flash media + things i plan on getting into!

- obviously flashpoint paradox is number one, rly good introduction for barry and great to look back on in retrospect! here’s where the fake fan part comes in: i do not care to read the comic. i’m sure there are things that the movie missed, but honestly? it’s a rly good standalone and i prefer a lot of the changes. this story also gets done to death with the flash, so you might as well get the best version of it here first

- flash/green lantern: the brave and the bold is also rly good, very iconic, easy to read (me shaking in restraint to hold off my dozens of documented panels from this comic)

- and the first flash comic i read (and still reading…) was flash rebirth (2016)! out of order bc there’s smth wrong with me, so idk how it holds up in quality, but i like barry in it at least

- i hear one-minute war is rly good, haven’t read it yet but i’m liking everything i see from it! you get to see a lot of the flash fam in this one!

i’d love to read more comics, but i have trouble with reading anything that’s not a physical, tangible copy, and i don’t have the budget to keep buying them. so just do what i do and skim thru copies at your local bookstore like it’s an extreme sport 👍 i have gotten many a reference points this way

anyway i am not posting the whole thing bc my rhyming is. not good but I'll post some of my favorite parts in it i think. starting with

the lines the song opens with! originally it was called "unfit" (this word will come later too) but i wanted to get silly with it, hence the meme reference

speaking of references, that second line is one, to "avalanche" by bring me the horizon. great depression song go listen to it if you haven't yet. i kept thinking abt that line while writing and eventually i went "sure why not, may as well pay a tiny homage to one of my fav bands ever"

ik the length of the first one is a bit much compared to others and esp the first verse (see above), but this is one of the lines i grabbed from the aforementioned collection file and i was too attached to it to change it. i feel like once there's music and shit it might solve this

anyway i feel like here it's clearer what the topic actually is (the chorus also helps, but we'll get to that later) - having to be fake and pretending to be someone else in order for people to like you. the song wasn't originally supposed to be abt that but ngl most of what i write eventually comes to this lol (i think i have at least 3 other pieces about this oof <- joker kinnie)

this one!!!!! is a reference!!!!! to a play i liked as a teen and used a monologue from multiple times in acting school (everyone in the class loved the way i did it and asked me to keep using it in stuff and who am i to say no), dentity crisis by christopher durang!! it's about, well, identity crises lol, and eventually the main character loses herself trying to make sense of the people around her and the chaos of her life so naturally it felt like a fitting reference to make, esp with the whole theater theme

this is the. i wanna say bridge but idk all the right terminology oof. like the part before the final chorus+outro.

i think you might've picked up by now that this is a bit of a silly, somewhat sarcastic song on some level, hence the improv line lmao

when i hear this part in my head it's very dramatic, lots of belting like a broadway showstopper, mixed with some. almost spoken, yet still sing-song-y lines

and here the whole theater motif really picks up the pace too. honestly this one appears in a lot of my writing for obvious reasons, but it's especially fitting when the song is literally about pretending to be someone else in order to be loved

the game thing peeks its head in the first chorus which we will get into in a sec, but either way i think it goes hand in hand. games are often abt getting into the shoes of another character yknow? and there's a whole play on the word, well, play lol. and how it's both for games and for acting (in my first language we straight up don't have another word like "act". it's just the same as play and that's it. so maybe it works better in my head for that reason idk!)

music wise i imagine in the last 2~ lines the beat starts to slow down, the notes become a bit higher, every syllable is drawn out for a bit longer, and in "stops" there's a short pause before the final chorus comes in. speaking of!

yeah showing each of them separately would've been a bit too cringey even for me. i don't think they're good as standalones BUT i like them together paralleling each other. it's smth i like to do in almost every song i write tbh, and very often i switch between "i" "you" and "we" as the song keeps going, to sort of draw the listener/reader in and let them become a part of the "narrative" if they want to and relate to it hehe. kind of make them (and me) feel less alone in this feeling

second chorus talking abt masks is once again smth i put in a lot of what i write (<- joker kinnie. again) askflglg sorry for not being original it will happen again 👍 but what can i say, it's relevant to the topic!!

in the last one i tried adding some sense of urgency. a reminder that this comes after the build up of the bridge, so it'll either be more intense or more quiet. haven't decided yet.

"maybe one day I'll fit" goes with the original "unfit" idea. bc at the end of the day this is what it's all about yknow? gotta make up a humansona and constantly roleplay as it to get through.

and through that "maybe one day" sentiment I'll slide into the outro. it's less sung than it is spoken sing-songly and dramatically to the beat (speaking of, i imagine a slight key change by now, as well as the music itself becoming more chaotic and intense and messy for this part), so i didn't bother much with rhyming or a steady pace heh

i mean. can it really be something i wrote without at least one reference to death and/or being a slut (<- dazai kinnie).

actually ironically "better die as myself than be loved as a character" might be my favorite line in the whole thing bc. well as i said the song is sarcastic. in its essence it's about being TIRED of pretending to be someone else. it's about how it's not something you actually want, you only want its benefits. but eventually, at the end of the song, you're just too tired to keep it up. all shows have to end eventually. and, this connects back to the first chorus - "maybe one day I'll be myself", kind of implying this one day might be in death, since all of life is pretending (only good vibes and fun on this blog ♡)

but. not dead yet. and i still want the benefits. so better find an alternative! nobody needs to know who you are if you've got tits they can touch! - is what i learned growing up and as a teen it never failed me lol.

so, the song ends with finally taking off the mask, but. taking off everything else in the process as well. all for being wanted, or the pretense of being loved, because that's the only thing that matters 👌

christine (ft actress!christine) - the theatre she was performing in caught on fire and she made sure everyone was safe and outside before burning to death inside the building

rich - got into a street fight with a guy that coincidentally was not a good person, both of them ended up dying but rich was sent to valhalla for his deeds. explaining the weapon was awkward though, at least he's super strong. and probably a son of thor or smth ngl (idk the restrictions for demigods that well in mcga)

jake - was substituting at a school to make ends meet after his parents took all the money after he turned 18, protected a group of students from a school shooter with his own (secret) weapon, was able to stall the shooter until the police came but died in the process

The feeling of arms wrapping around Sidney’s neck suddenly made her nearly jump out of her seat, letting out a startled gasp as she turned a bit to see who it was who gave her such a scare. She heard your mischievous giggle first before she caught your grinning face before you buried your head in her neck, giving her a playful squeeze. Her heart immediately calmed, a pleasant smile on her face. “You need to announce yourself, you don’t make noise and you scare me half to death every time.” She complained, though as she said this, she found her own hands locking your arms in place as you swayed her side to side. 

“Yeah Y/N, if you don’t stop stalking around then the cops might pull you in for questioning.” Your brother Billy commented as he also joined the conversation, followed by Stu and Tatum. You unwrapped an arm from around Sidney to slap your brother’s arm before wrapping it back around her. Sid knew he was trying to brighten the mood, but it honestly didn’t do much for her. She honestly didn’t know how people were just going on about life like the recent murders weren’t worrying. 

“You down for a movie night?” You asked her, snapping her out of her thoughts. 

“I’m not sure…” Sidney responded, looking over her shoulder at you. She wanted to go- almost every fibre of her being wanted to spend time with you, but with the current situation, she wasn’t sure on the idea of being out of the safety of her own home with her dad.

“We’ll all be here. It was actually Billy’s idea- if we’re all together then if something does happen we can work together and we stand a better chance.” Stu mentioned, and you nodded along. Billy shrugged it off, trying to appear humble at the praise. That made her feel better, and after glancing back at you, seeing your hopeful smile, she caved in. 

“Alright, sounds good.” She agreed, before the bell rang. Everyone stood, starting to stroll to the school building with so many others. Stu started talking the ear off of Billy while Billy dragged you into it to poke a little bit of fun at his sister, from which you responded with your own snarky comment, playfully wrestling with him until he wrapped his arms around you and picked you up as you tried to kick Stu. Tatum left the side of her boyfriend to walk with Sid who stepped back to avoid any crossfire between you three. 

“If you want, I’ll get the boys to order takeout and I’ll force them downstairs so you two can get some alone time.” She offered in a whisper, Sidney’s head snapping to her best friend who gave her a playful grin. “Think you can get the kisses and cuddles out your system in 15 minutes?”

“Make it 20” She responded, offering a hand shake, making Tatum laugh but accept the handshake, before she went to go split you, Stu and Billy up as Stu now had your legs and the pair were swinging you back and forth and the steps to the school weren’t too far away. Billy put you down finally, and you turned to Sidney. 

“You got English right?” You asked, and she nodded, smiling as you came over to her, brushing the hair from her face. “Well, I’ll see you at break, in the meantime, take note of any movies you want to watch and any snacks- I’ll buy them for you, my treat.” You offered, before kissing your finger and booping it on the edge of her nose, making her scrunch it up, before Tatum and Stu called for her as they shared the lesson, and you waved at her as she walked in. Billy came and stood beside you as you crossed your arms. 

“You still down for the plan?” Billy asked. You looked at your brother for a moment, before smirking. 

“Of course I am. Why? Worried that I’m falling for my own act?” You asked as you both started walking into the school. Billy chuckled, wrapping his arm around his sister’s shoulder. 

“It’s not my fault you’re so good at the role of the sweet caring girlfriend- you’re so convincing. It’s foolproof.” 

“That’s the point though, right?” You responded as you continued to walk ahead. “She’s not gonna see it coming.”

So I mainly thought up to that point hsjsvsjsv but basically, first, they needed to know Sun and Moon beforehand, so started looking for roles they could have worked on alongside them, trying to avoid detective bc variety is more fun, but bc of the time and a lot of positions being condensed in like only one or two still landed on that lmao, so ex-detective (yeah I did research for this don't look at me SHJSSVSKCDNSVSNSVSSJ) (also that's it, that's the doodle, their design as a human for this au, that's the only decent one I'm srry Naff shsjscsnscsjshjsbs I was thinking of doing more since you wanted to see but I'm still not sure of their design so A) But yeah, as a human, they would have been a detective, ocassionally working together with Sun and Moon, the three of them eventually becoming good friends

Anyway, their inevitable death should have come from the inside, soo what I was thinking was that, again being in the wrong place at the wrong time, probs with their guard down, they happen to catch one of the corrupt cops doing smth incriminating and, having been spotted, are taken out before they can actually do smth

Nnot sure if their cause of death would have been faked or what (I guess???), but their body is found and they are pronounced dead. Sun and Moon finding out later

Now, wasn't sure how to go abt the whole possesing an animatronic body bit bc in the pizza plex it can happen a lot more easily than in this setting dvsjvdsj (and there's also their celestial design oops) but I basically thought of 3 possible scenarios: since Eclipse has parts just in case and has to get them from somewhere, was considering the possibility of an animatronic body being transported to extract them or even worse, going off of that one ask, a scenario in which he does plan on keeping y/n alive after they die and, actually finding out abt the ineffectiveness of scooping them beforehand, decides to get a body built for them. Polar's animatronic design is a celestial one, so since idk what eclipse would actually do in this scenario and I'd need to justify this anyway dvsjdvnsvd let's just say that in this case he decided to go with that to make it more likely for y/n to stay with him bc of the rarity of the parts or to match or some shit idk lol. Going with either of those would mean, however, that Polaris, by accidentaly possesing the body and escaping before it can get to Eclipse, stole smth from him (the scenario in which it was supposed to be y/n's future body making it muuuch worse and I bet personal, but in the other one they'd still have stolen a good bunch of valuable parts so dvksvdkd) and soo I bet he'd be after them.  Scenario number 3 and the most unlikely, is that maybe there just happened to be an animatronic body around there somewhere for some reason vssjsvsjsvs and a celestial one at that SHJAVSNSVSMVASNV yeahh I don't think so lol But anyway, like in the original version, they'd only remember bits and pieces from before they died, but in this case I think they might be able to put together that they at least had worked closely with the police at some point, aaand, even if they can't remember who or anything specific, that a cop tried to kill them (killed them but they don't know that vdjdvj) So, I'm guessing they'd end up going into hiding just to be safe and try to figure stuff out from there

Bc of their sense of justice and desire to help but distrust of the police, I think eventually they'd start stocking up on stolen medicine, parts & tools, and the like to be able to help (to the best of their abilities) those that need it but, for one reason or another, can't get help anywere else; after some time starting to be known by some as a safe space where one can get some medical help (and even some information and more particular supplies, but even less people would know abt that part ;) ) They probably thought abt more direct/hands on work, but decided against it to keep a low profile (specially if they actually stole from eclipse vdjdvdj)

Soo eventually they'd meet y/n through this and I imagine they'd become someone y/n might go to on ocassion

They'd probably wear smth to cover their face so their identity isn't as exposed, and here's where I got kinda stuck with the design, bc depending on the scenario it'd be how and how much it'd vary from their original one (for example, normal Polar's rays aren't retractable, so those would have to stay uncovered, but in this version they might be??? Idk) But anyway, I imagine at some point y/n might have gotten to see them without the mask or smth and, after finding out abt the rarity of parts like the celestial wire and seeing as Polar looks similar to the three celestial animatronics they know, I bet they would have gone to them before actually risking going to Eclipse, they wouldn't be able to provide them with it tho and y/n would still have to go to him (I'm... not even sure if they would know what that is vjdvdjdb it would be smart to, but idk how easy that information is to find?)

So basically, the main storyline would stay p much the same, they'd just be an added bonus lmao

I imagine y/n wouldn't mention Polar to the detectives? At least at first and not in any significant/traceable way, bc of the the way y/n works + the secrecy of it, but idk

In theory, at some point they'd find out abt eachother and eventually learn the truth abt Polar's identity, even thought they could also just not find out depending on how everything were to play out vsjdvsj idk but Polar would probably get a sense of trust and familiarity from them that contradicts the way they feel abt the police, being kinda ???? abt it

(In the scenario that the body was made for y/n, if Eclipse were to mention smth identifiable abt it, y/n could internally be like "wait, isn't that..." which could eventually lead to questions abt how they came to be if the body was in theory just that, a body)

Oh my gosh, I love them!! That's such a tragic tale but I find it very fitting for the Sleuth Jesters story!! Oh man, that would be so cool to have Polar and Y/N interacting, and even see Polar with the detectives!

This is just my two cents, but I really dig the animatronic body being meant for Y/N, commissioned by Eclipse but gets unwittingly taken by Polar!! I just find that super compelling and a story just lying in wait right there! Not to mention the lost memory!!

there are lots of different variations of the SU x GF crossover so I wanted to share my own headcanons! (which apply to all of the comics I’ve made)

General:

It takes place post-SUF and post-GF (no Bill stuff, sorry guys lol)

Steven crosses paths with Stan and Ford while he was still on the east coast, sometime in the late winter/early spring

maybe they invite him onto their boat for a chat and some cocoa idk

Stan gave Steven his beanie (which is why I’ve been drawing Steven wearing a beanie)

They suggested he visit the Mystery Shack in Gravity Falls whenever he’s in the area. Stan and Ford would there in the summer for Dipper and Mabel’s birthday, so they hopefully meet again if the timing was right (and it is)

By the late spring/early summer, Steven makes it to Gravity Falls

He initially only plans to stay for a couple days, but gets on well will Soos (and Melody!), and within a day or so the twins arrive, who convince him to work at the shack for the summer

Steven agrees, but leaves when the twins go back to school, since there’s only a small handful of people in Gravity Falls he can actually stand to be around (they’re all a bit to mean for his tastes)

Steven is suuuuper gullible, and can’t quite differentiate between the Mystery Shack gimmicks and the genuinely supernatural. Like I said on this comic, he doesn’t really have a reason to be skeptical of things that are out of the ordinary, and he’s excited by stuff that he knows isn’t caused by gem stuff.

Since Steven is staying in Gravity Falls on his birthday (August 15th), the gems would certainly come visit. They can’t stay for very long, though, since they’re pretty busy nowadays. 

Stan and Ford don’t arrive until mid August, and head back to the Atlantic Ocean shortly after Dipper and Mabel’s birthday

There might still be a corrupted gem or two lurking in the woods, but overall there’s a pretty astonishing lack of gem-related activity. Steven finds himself out of his element (but he’s kind of digging it??)

Mabel learns that Steven has never been to school, and now with her first year’s experience of high school under her belt, convinces her friends, Dipper, and Wendy to let Steven pretend he’s a high school student for a day, and set up a fake classroom with fake homework and everything. 

I usually roll my eyes at suspiciously perfect coincidences, like certain characters previously knowing each other or someone Steven knows just so happens to visit the Mystery Shack while he’s working there, but I do like the concept that Wendy or Robbie is familiar with Sadie’s music. Maybe Steven could let Sadie call them and do a mini-performance over the phone lol

Character dynamics:

Sometimes Steven will state unusual facts about himself so nonchalantly, no one can tell whether he’s fucking with them or not

Like most other iterations of this crossover, Dipper has taken a High interest in solving What’s Up With Steven, even though there’s nothing to solve.

Steven isn’t THAT open. He doesn’t share every little detail about himself, especially regarding his recent trauma. (I mean, it’s extremely personal, why would he yknow)

Dipper actually gets a little jealous of how well Steven and Mabel get along, even when they’re doing stuff he’s not into. Cause like, that’s his sister! >:0

pre-Future Steven would not have been very fond of Dipper, but post-Future Steven definitely is. He sees how much Dipper tries to take himself too seriously and act “grown up”, and it reminds Steven that he needs to be better about that too.

Stan has a HUGE soft spot for Steven, especially if he learns his story. He has a bit of overlap in the “faked my death and lived a huge portion of my life under a different identity” department.

Pearl would probably get along with Stan for the same reason

You’d might think Pearl would like Ford cause they’re both “intellectuals” or smth idk but she’d think he’s kind of stuffy and actually her favorite of the bunch would be Soos lol

Stan has also traveled to every state, so he makes sure to pass on to Steven his (frankly very bad) advice.

Steven tries to get along with Wendy’s friends, but quickly realizes how little he vibes with them

Waddles is big now! I can’t decide whether I like him better as a regular pig or a pot-bellied big. Even if he were a pot-bellied pig, after a year he’d be 100 pounds at least, and nearly the size of a large dog. But if he were a regular farm pig, he’d be a b e a s t

Steven wouldn’t fuse with anyone here. The only humans he’s ever fused with are Connie, who is his closest friend and girlfriend, and his dad. I just don’t see it happening.

I may or may not add more as I go. I probably won’t delve into every combination of every single crystal gem and every single Gravity Falls citizen, because 1) there’s too many to count and 2) most of those interactions are probably unlikely to happen anyway.

-obviously goro akechi is megamind.,,, tho instead of being blue he is just goro akechi (maybe w loki's horns or smth to make him look more alien) and when hes disguised as 'bernard' he just looks like his disguise from the jazz club where u ruffle up his hair n put glasses on him LOL. also he still uses the name bernard bc i think thats funny

-akira is roxanne :3c ambitious reporter who v much enjoys the banter between them every time he gets kidnapped hehe and is sooo enamored w bernard bc hes the only other person who seems so invested in the cruel detective prince despite his Villainous Tendencies

-ryuji is hal (ryuji baby im so sorry) but not in like a 'nice guy' kinda way just in that hes the lazy bro whos always hangin around akira.,, but i love ryuji so rather than going mad w power after getting rejected like some kind of dweeb its more of a persona 4 situation where his concern for akiras safety and his jealousy of he and goros (or bernards as far he knows) relationship - it all combines and his shadow self takes over, so instead of being consciously a douche he is just consumed by forces beyond his control 😔😔 and obv snaps out of it after they beat his ass LOL

-souji is metro man lmaoo i think it fits that hed b like a role model n an inspiration to the p5 characters but also opt out of the fighting b4 it can consume him and become his entire life bc soujis character already struggles w feeling like hes living his entire life for other ppl and not for himself :/

-im not entirely sure abt minion.,, i feel like sumire fits better but i didnt play royal n havent watched the entire playthrough so idk her that well ..,, so in my heart minion is ann <33 i rlly like the hc that goro and ann are friends Anyway n i feel like the petty catty megamind/minion dynamic suits them well hehehe

so basically the gist of it is that akira is repeatedly kidnapped by Villainous Detective Prince Goro Akechi and rescued every time by local hunk and hero souji seta, who fakes his own death to get out of the public eye. in the aftermath of that akechi takes over the city but quickly grows bored w the lack of challenge.,, he and his assistant ann decide that ryuji (while kind of boneheaded) has potential to b strong and should b crafted into his New Rival !! but that backfires, as trying to motivate him through the promise of earning akiras interest only drives his jealousy to the point of being all consuming (this is when his shadow self takes the reigns).

akechi accidentally bumps into akira just like in the movie where he panics and disguises himself ( tho i think rather than freezedrying some poor dude its a magic thing idk bc i think its funny if that why his disguise sucks so hard its just bc he was flustered and in a hurry not to b caught so all he could manage was no horns messier hair big glasses) and akira talks 2 him abt how awful it is that soujis gone and that he never even Disliked akechi in fact hed grown rather fond of him after all their flirty rapport and bernard (akechi) has 2 b like mmhmm yeah that guy sucks. and hes caught between sounding indignant bc his pride is wounded and sounding all too genuine in talking abt how much he hates goro akechi LOL😖

ummm they get closer over time trying 2 pinpoint where akechis Evil Lair might be and then they 100% still have that sad restaurant scene where akechis disguise gets all fucked up (i like to think its bc he got so flustered by being kissed that his brain short circuited and the spell dropped for a sec) and akira does the whole 'wtf why did you lie to me why did u string me along was this all to humiliate me?? or worse was this all genuine to you? did u ever think i could love someone like you??' and walks home in the rain especially sad bc hed confessed that hed had feelings for akechi prior to soujis death so now it just feels like its being thrown back in his face Twice smh

akira still gets snatched up by shadow ryuji and cant do anything abt it but not bc its helpless its bc he doesnt wanna hurt his best friend ): he knows thats not him!!! but tldr goro shows up and ryuji gets bonked around bc akira comes 2 goros aid just 2 subdue him not 2 actually injure him! and then he comes back 2 himself and is so sorry and its ok they r besties again :) and goro and akira kiss on the mouth maybe
